If you're planning to end your contract with Contently, it's important to understand what happens to your content and data once your agreement concludes. Below are answers to common questions regarding access and data retention:
Will I still have access to my files after the contract ends?
No. Access to your publication and its content will be disabled once your contract ends. This means you will no longer be able to view or download any materials hosted on the platform.
Is there a grace period during which I can download or export my content?
There is no automatic grace period. Typically, publication access is deactivated within 24 hours after contract termination. However, if you need additional time to retrieve your content, we recommend reaching out to your account manager before your contract ends to request a temporary extension. We are happy to accommodate reasonable requests when possible.
What happens to the data after that period—will it be permanently deleted?
Yes. After access is disabled, your data is retained for a short period before being permanently deleted as part of our regular data cleanup processes. While we can't provide an exact deletion timeline, you can expect your content to be removed shortly after deactivation in accordance with our standard data handling procedures.
