Freelancer Registration Redirects to Homepage and Login Says “there is no account associated with my email address”

Overview

If your freelancer sign-up submission appears to “loop” back to the homepage (with no confirmation) and a later login attempt returns "there is no account associated with my email address", your account setup is typically not finalized yet (most commonly because the email address has not been verified/activated).


To complete registration, verify your email address and then sign in. If you cannot access the account after verifying, request that a verification email be re-sent and (if needed) a temporary password be issued via a one-time link.

Solution

You may be experiencing this issue if:

  • After submitting the freelancer sign-up form, you are redirected back to the homepage with no registration confirmation.
  • When attempting to sign in, you see: "there is no account associated with my email address"
  • Trying multiple browsers does not change the outcome.

What this usually means

  • The account creation process has not been fully finalized yet (for example, the email address is still unverified/unactivated).
  • This behavior is not typically resolved by switching browsers, since it is tied to account activation state rather than browser settings.
  • No version-specific fix is required; completing verification (and signing in successfully) finalizes the setup.

Resolution steps

  1. Verify your email address
    • Open the verification email sent to your registration email address.
    • Complete the verification steps in that email.
    • If you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder. Please reach out to the Contently Support Team. 
  2. Sign in after verification
    • Go to: <signin_url>
    • Sign in using your credentials or use the "forgot my password" feature to reset your password.

If the issue persists

If you still see "there is no account associated with my email address" after verifying your email:

  • Confirm you are signing in with the exact same email address used during registration.
  • Request the Contently Support Team to manually verify your account or that the verification email be re-sent and/or a new temporary password be issued via a one-time link (<one_time_password_link>) to complete activation.
