Setting Up Your Portfolio
Your portfolio is your virtual business card on Contently. It's where you demonstrate your expertise and skills to potential clients. To get started, make sure your portfolio meets the following requirements:
- A Comprehensive Bio: Your bio should provide an insightful overview of your areas of expertise. This is your chance to introduce yourself and let clients know what you bring to the table.
- Projects and Clients: Include a minimum of 10 different projects from at least 3 different clients. This variety showcases your experience and versatility as a contributor.
- Clips: Add topics and skills to at least 3 clips in your portfolio. This helps clients find you when they search for specific content or expertise.
- Availability for Work: Make sure to mark yourself as "Available for Work" in your portfolio settings.
Once your portfolio meets these requirements, our creative marketplace team will initiate the review process. For detailed guidance on setting up your portfolio, refer to our guide here.
Note: The duration of the review process may vary, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on our client's needs and preferences at the time. In the meantime, we suggest keeping your portfolio current with recent projects and continuing to optimize for best chance of receiving work!
Completing our Training
Every qualified portfolio undergoes an initial approval process to ensure your skills align with our clients' requirements. The creative marketplace team will carefully review your portfolio to determine if you meet our criteria.
If your portfolio is approved, you will receive an email notification. This email will include a link to a brief training on navigating the Contently platform and our processes. Completing this training is mandatory, as it will log that you are fully approved in our system, allowing our algorithm to start surfacing your portfolio to potential clients and creative leads.
