Information
Congrats on being staffed to a publication!
Here are a few tips from the Contently platform training that you should keep in mind:
-
Once you get started on a project, the managing editor will be your point of contact for all things related to projects (rates and general expectations). They'll reach out with more information regarding pitch requests and projects, but here are our suggestions if you'd like to introduce yourself to them first.
-
Click the "Create Pitch" button in the top navigation bar to see what kind of projects your client would like to produce. Proactively pitching is a fantastic way to pick up work. You'll only see this button if the client is accepting open pitches at this time.
-
Once you start collaborating on projects, you're expected to respond to inquiries from clients and editors within 24 hours on business days, 48 hours on weekends. Due dates for stories, and subsequent revisions, will be visible in the story's workflow.
