PayPal is Contently's Exclusive Payment Processor

Overview

This article explains why PayPal is the exclusive payment processor on the platform and provides guidance on how to address concerns regarding this payment method.

Information

PayPal is Contently's Exclusive Payment Processor for Freelancer Transactions.

PayPal is the only payment processor supported by the Contently platform. Our partnership with PayPal ensures secure, efficient, and widely accessible transactions for freelancers worldwide. While it is convenient for most users, there are limitations, particularly in countries where PayPal is not available or triggers a processing fee.

While we understand some freelancers may prefer an alternative payment method, at this time PayPal remains the sole payment option. This limitation is due to the complexity of integrating multiple payment processors while maintaining the current level of security and convenience provided by PayPal.

Common Freelancer Concerns

Some freelancers may face issues with PayPal, including:

  • Unavailable in certain countries: Freelancers in countries where PayPal is restricted will not be able to successfully cash out their funds.
  • Fee structure: Non-U.S. freelancers may incur fees when cashing out, usually around 2-3%, which reduces the total amount received.

Summary

This article explains why PayPal is the only payment processor on the platform. It addresses common freelancer concerns about PayPal's availability and fees, and outlines that while alternative payment methods are being considered, PayPal remains the sole option for now.
