Overview
While using the Contently V3 editor, you may sometimes see messages like “Retry Connection” or “Refresh page.” This can happen if your session temporarily loses connection or needs to re-authenticate.
These are usually temporary (transient) issues and do not mean your work is lost.
What should you do?
The quickest and most effective fix is simple:
👉 Click the “Refresh page” button
This will reload the editor, re-sync your session with the server, and in most cases, everything will return to normal.
Will I lose my work?
In most cases, no.
-
The editor automatically saves your work locally in your browser (even if you’re offline).
-
Once you refresh, your content usually syncs back correctly.
Extra precautions (recommended)
To be safe, especially for longer drafts:
-
✅ Click “Save as draft” if available
-
✅ Press Ctrl/Cmd + A → Copy your text before refreshing
These are just precautionary steps — typically, simply refreshing is enough.
Why does this happen?
This can occasionally occur due to:
-
Temporary connection interruptions
-
Session/authentication refresh requirements
These are normal and expected from time to time.
